About the Foundation

The Greene County Medical Center Foundation helps ensure medical excellence through their mission to solicit and receive contributions and gifts from individuals, institutions and organizations.  Funds are used exclusively for the benefit of charitable, scientific, or educational purposes that apply to health care at Greene County Medical Center. 

The Greene County Medical Center Foundation endeavors to assure appropriate acknowledgment for all levels of giving, in accordance with the donor's intention.

Foundation Campaigns

The 2011 Greene Backer Campaign raised enough to purchase a Dexa Bone Scanner for the medical center's Radiology department.  The Radiology staff is pictured above with the new scanner. 

The Foundation holds a yearly Greene Backer community campaign each fall. The Greene Backer campaign seeks community donations from individuals and businesses and has a designated purpose each year. In the past, the campaign has raised funds for obstetrics remodeling, patient room upgrades, digital mammography equipment, and an orthopedic clinic.

An employee campaign takes place in February where all employees have the opportunity to make a gift or pledge to the foundation. The last two campaigns have had the same focus as the Greene Backer campaign.

Annual Campaign

The AlterG anti-gravity treadmill is the focus of the 2012 Annual Campaign.  Young, old, active and inactive alike can be impacted by this type of equipment, and we want to be "always here, always caring" for our community and the surrounding communities.  For more information on the AlterG, please view the video below.
