Advanced Women's Care

The Advanced Women's Care clinic sees women of all ages for maternity care, gynecology, and other women's health issues.

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac rehab provides a supervised environment to safely increase your activity/exercise levels and maintain regular communications with your GCMC physician.

Cardiopulmonary (Respiratory) Care

Respiratory therapists staff this department  to provide treatments to inpatients and outpatients with breathing and respiratory ailments.

Diabetes Education Center

The Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) class is taught for adult patients with the diagnosis of diabetes or pre-diabetes for those with type 1, type 2, or gestational diabetes.

Emergency Care

The emergency room is staffed by registered nurses and a local on-call family physician to receive and treat patients and/or supervise emergency care. The emergency room receives patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for treatment.

Home Healthcare

Provides assessment, education and care to individuals in their home.

Inpatient and Outpatient Nursing Services

The three areas of acute nursing services include medical/surgical, obstetrics, and the intensive care unit. These areas are staffed by registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nurse's aides, and ward clerks.

Laboratory

The laboratory is staffed by medical technologists and medical lab techs who perform tests on blood and other bodily fluids using a variety of microscopic, chemical, and bacteriologic methods.

Maternal Children's Health

In addition to quality pediatrics, GCMC offers immunization clinics for children and the H.O.P.E.S. (Healthy Opportunities for Parents to Experience Success) program for new parents and families.

New Beginnings Birth Center

Our obstetrics physican and certifed nurse midwife offer maternity care and delivery service including individualized birth plans and pain management such as epidurals, all in the comfort of our luxurious labor suite. 

Nutritional Services

This service provides meals for patients, residents, outpatients, their family members, visitors, guests, and employees through cafeteria service and food taken to patient rooms or resident dining rooms. A dietition offers nutrional consultations to patients who must watch their food intake.

Pharmacy

Staffed by registered pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, the GCMC in-patient pharmacy oversees all aspects of medication therapy in the acute care hospital, outpatient, and emergency areas.

Public Health

Many community wellness services such as Maternal Child health Services, immunizations, developmental screening, dental health screening, as well as blood pressure screening, foot care clinics, and annual influenza vaccine clinics are provided by our public health service.

Radiology

Radiology provides many services on an outpatient and inpatient basis utilizing our own equipment and staff members as well as contracting specialized imaging equipment which is available on a regular basis.

Physical Rehabilitation

Licensed physical therapists work with patietns and families needing rehabilitative services after an injury or stroke to restore optimal functioning. Preventative teaching and sports injury assessments are also provided to patients.

Senior Care

Our Senior Care specialists oversee Long Term Care, Home Healhtcare, hospice, and the residential facility Ever Greene Ridge, as well as our Lifeline emergency response system.  These services make GCMC a leader in senior care.

Surgery

Surgical procedures are performed on an inpatient and outpatient basis by GCMC surgeons, Western Iowa Surgery surgeons, and McFarland Clinic-Jefferson physicians, as well as visiting specialists.

West Central Orthopedics

Dr. Jeffrey Wahl, DO, specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal systems, sports injuries, degenerative joint diseases, congenital disorders, and fractures with both surgical and non-surgical means.
