Greene County Medical Center's disaster preparedness team members presented automatic external defibrilators (AEDs) to community partners in early September. Funding, in the amount of $6,335.00, was provided by the medical center’s Emergency Preparedness grant funds through Homeland Security and Iowa Department of Public Health’s (IDPH) Centers for Disaster Operations (CDOR).

"These AEDs are being provided as part of our efforts to increase community preparedness based on identified need," said Public Health Director Becky Wolf. "Being a rural area and having an increased rate of heart disease makes this a perfect fit."
