His experience also includes responsibility for developing and maintaining physician contracting, clinic business operations and physician compensation models.

“Chad’s 28 years of health care finance experience, along with his success leading a high-performing finance department in Olathe will prove to be valuable experience for Greene County Medical Center as we continue to navigate the rapidly evolving and changing health care industry,” stated Tracy Warner, Greene County Medical Center CEO.

Butterfield began his career at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Iowa in Des Moines, later transitioning to Mercy Medical Center as a reimbursement analyst, also in Des Moines. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa, and is working towards a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Saint Mary, Overland Park, Kansas. His ties to Iowa also include family in Northwest Iowa. Chad and his wife, Tammy, have two children ages 23 and 22, and in their spare time they enjoy spending time with family and friends.
