Medical Center Hires New Administrative Officer
May 13, 2019
Greene County Medical Center has recently hired Heather Paris as chief administrative officer and chief financial officer. According to Chief Executive Officer Carl Behne, once Paris joins the executive team, she will have both operational and financial responsibilities, working with multiple leaders across the organization.
Paris has a long history of hospital administration work. She was chief executive officer at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital, a rural affiliate of UnityPoint Health in Lake City, Iowa, from 2014-2016. From 1997 to 2013, she was chief financial/information officer at Monroe County Hospital and Clinics in Albia, Iowa.
Most recently, Paris has been with Iowa State University as Associate Vice President for finance and support services, where she has been responsible for the leadership of three finance managers and indirect leadership of 125 financial professionals.
Paris’ desire to return to hospital administration led her back to UnityPoint Health and, ultimately, now to Greene County Medical Center. She will begin her position on June 3.
Paris has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from University of Iowa and a master’s degree in Health Care Administration from Des Moines University. She lives in Boone with her husband, Greg, and children, Emily and Jay.
