Medical Center Moment - April 2015

by -

Isn’t it exciting to be part of a community that has so much going on? Greene County is not only bursting with budding trees, lilacs and flowers — we are bursting with growth. And Greene County Medical Center is proud to be a part of that growth.

It’s easy to see the outside portions of our expansion project from Grimmell Road and Lincoln Way, but visualizing the inside isn’t so easy. I can assure you that the private patient rooms, the private patient pre- and post-surgery rooms, the expanded areas for many of our outpatient services and the emergency room area with helipad and ambulance drive front and center is equally impressive. Our focus on increased privacy, access and efficiency is becoming a reality. You will want to reserve some time on Bell Tower weekend this year to be a part of our guided public tours Saturday afternoon, June 13.

Plans for the UnityPoint Clinic opening in Jefferson are well on their way with an advanced nurse practitioner starting to see patients sometime in May and a family practice physician on board for when the clinic actually opens on July 6. Additional staff and providers continue to be recruited and hired.

The overwhelming success of our ENT and Urology specialty clinics has us moving forward with plans to bring even more specialists to the medical center on a regular basis.

All of this, and more, allow us to stay committed to providing and enhancing the services that will meet your health care needs here in your community.

We understand that you have a choice when it comes to health care providers and service locations and we are working hard for a patient experience that has you choosing Greene County Medical Center.

Thank you for choosing us and thank you for supporting your medical center.

Always Here, Always Caring,
Carl Behne, CEO
