Medical Center Moment - April 2016
We often hear folks say, “April showers bring May flowers,” but around the Medical Center, April construction is going to bring more movement of departments and offices. We have now opened up the main entrance and when you walk through the doors you’ll see the new welcome desk and private registration areas. WOW! Business office staff have also moved into their new space.
As renovations move toward the main lobby area, the auxiliary’s Gift Garden shop will be temporarily closed. Work continues on Level A clinic spaces and the main east/west walkway on the main level. We are also giving our cafeteria a facelift with new entry, ceiling, floors and paint. We anticipate completion of our entire expansion and renovation project to be late summer.
I can’t emphasize enough how grateful I am for all the patience our patients, visitors and staff have demonstrated during these continual changes, but the finished product will be well worth it. Thank you.
GI services with Gastroenterologist Dr. Thomas Martin will start on Thursday, May 12. Dr. Martin is part of the Iowa Digestive Disease Center and will be performing colonoscopies and endoscopies for us. This additional service will allow patients to have these done close to home. Please work with your primary provider so these procedures can be done for you in Jefferson. A referral is required.
We take our vision “Always Here, Always Caring” very seriously, and that means we take your care very seriously. We are committed to caring for you, your family and your neighbors close to home.
Always Here, Always Caring,
Carl Behne, CEO
