It keeps getting better out here at the medical center — the new lobby area on Level A, where clinics, rehab services and UnityPoint Clinic are all located, is now open. The new main staircase, elevator and walkway from Level A to the main floor lobby entrance and outpatient services will be opening soon. It all looks fabulous.
The opening of Level A has also opened up new exam rooms, provider space and nursing stations for all of our visiting specialists, West Central Orthopedics and our new Women’s Health Clinic.
The Women’s Health Clinic opened on August 1 with provider Valerie Martin, ARNP, seeing women of all ages. She, along with her support staff, was previously with our Advanced Women’s Care clinic. So you’ll see familiar faces in new places.
I can’t tell you how excited all of us at the medical center are to see the “light at the end of the tunnel” in regards to our building project. But I know our patients and visitors are equally excited. By the time you read this, we will be installing some of the final directional signage and most areas will be open and functioning.
We aren’t letting the completion of our project go unnoticed. A campus-wide open house for all community members is scheduled for Thursday, September 22, from 5:30 - 8 p.m. This open house will allow visitors to wander most areas of the medical center and see both the new expansion space, which opened a year ago, as well as all of the recently opened renovated spaces.
Our mission is, “to enrich our community by providing quality, compassionate care to every patient and contributing to the well-being of every family.” And all of us at the medical center look forward to showing you the areas that have been created or renovated to do just that.
I hope to see you at our open house so you can see for yourself your new and improved medical center.
Always Here, Always Caring,
Carl Behne, CEO
