Medical Center Moment - December 2018
The holidays are here, and this last week of the year will find many of us taking extra time to be with family and friends. It’s a wonderful time of year, isn’t it?
Greene County Medical Center has much to be thankful for as 2018 comes to a close and, sometime in early January, we’ll share the highlights in a fun, informative video on our website and Facebook page.
I want to acknowledge the great work of our retiring Foundation director, Hollie Roberts. I appreciate everything she has done for the medical center. Her work with the Foundation, Auxiliary and Ever Greene Ridge was done with passion and commitment. All of us at the medical center wish her the best in retirement.
2019 looks bright for the medical center as we are finalizing contracts and other details for a staff surgeon and a full-time pediatrics provider. The increased surgery coverage will give our patients more weekday options for general surgeries and colonoscopies. And having a pediatrician on campus will be a benefit to many young families in the communities we serve. We are still a few months away from actually offering these services, but I wanted you to hear it here first. Stay tuned for further information.
We accomplished a lot in 2018 and look to accomplish more in 2019 with the end goal always being to fulfill our mission: “To enrich our community by providing quality, compassionate care to every patient and contributing to the well-being of every family.”
Happy New Year, friends.
Always Here, Always Caring
