Medical Center Moment - June 2015

by -

June 21 marks the official first day of summer, but it sure seems like a full month of summer has already gone by.

Suddenly it’s going to be July — which is going to be a very busy month at the medical center. Our building expansion project is in its last 30 days of completion and we’ll be spending July orchestrating our move into the new 52,000 square feet of patient care areas.

The private patient rooms, private pre- and post-surgery rooms, the expanded areas for many of our outpatient services and the emergency room with helipad and ambulance drive front and center is all
patient-centered.

We refocused our public tours for Saturday, July 11, 9 a.m. to noon. This is just a few weeks from the
opening of the new space and will allow our public the opportunity to see the space before we begin patient care.

Earlier that same week on Monday, July 6, UnityPoint Clinic will be in their permanent space. Since she started seeing patients in mid-May, I have only heard good, positive things about the care Sara Fleecs, ARNP, has been providing. Thank you for supporting this endeavor and thanks for entrusting your care to Sara and the UnityPoint Clinic team.

I look forward to the coming months when I can make official introductions of additional specialists joining the medical center care team who will be holding clinics here on a regular basis.

Our efforts in July and beyond are focused on providing and enhancing the services that will meet your health care needs here in your community.

As always, we understand you have a choice when it comes to health care providers and service locations and we are working hard for a patient experience that has you choosing Greene County Medical Center.

Thank you for choosing us and thank you for supporting your medical center.

Always Here, Always Caring,
Carl Behne, CEO
