Your Cancer Deserves Our Comfort
by Greene County Medical Center - April 21, 2017
A cancer diagnosis can bring a lot of anxiety with it – choosing the right oncologist, ongoing tests, hospital visits and treatment options. The list goes on.
At Greene County Medical Center, we are working hard to take away some of that anxiety with a whole lot of comfort.
Need an oncologist?

We have visiting oncologist Dr. Matthew Hill here twice a month on the first and third Tuesdays. Dr. Hill is associated with Medical Oncology and Hematology Associates (MOHA) out of Des Moines. He is also associated with the John Stoddard Cancer Center, part of UnityPoint Health’s Methodist Medical Center’s campus in Des Moines.
Tests?
Our imaging department offers MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds and x-rays.

And our laboratory department can do the ongoing blood work that goes hand-in-hand with cancer monitoring.
Treatments?
The medical center offers private rooms for infusions and chemotherapy treatment. Our professional staff is experienced in providing the reassurance that might come from fear or pain. They are well equipped to provide the comfort you need and deserve. Warm blankets, nourishment, or a good laugh – the patient becomes their #1 focus.
Already have an oncologist?
No worries, your oncologist can order tests and treatments locally, keeping you close to home or work whenever possible. Travelling five minutes for tests or treatments gives you more time in the comfort of your own home and less time away from work. Whether its labs or scans that need to be sent to your oncologist, both are done the same day. For example, a Monday scan at Greene County Medical Center would have results to your oncologist for a Tuesday appointment. Same for lab. That’s a comfort that has real travel time and money saving results.
Your cancer deserves all of these comforts, and they’re all available at Greene County Medical Center.
