Specialty Clinic Coder/Biller

  • Full-time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
  • Benefits eligible 
  • Monday-Friday
  • Will process, maintain, compile, and report patient information for health insurance requirements and standards
  • Will determine sequence of diagnoses according to uniform clinic guidelines and assign codes utilizing the International Classification of        Disease systems and CPT
  • Must be detail oriented and able to concentrate for long periods of time with distractions
  • Must possess the ability to cope with pressure of coding records as quickly as possible
  • One to two years' experience with medical coding required
  • Skills is medical terminology, pathology, and anatomy and physiology preferred 

Accounts Payable Clerk - Finance

  • Full-time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
  • Benefits eligible
  • Monday-Friday
  • Responsible for compiling, processing and maintaining accounts payable records
  • Verify approval of all invoices and check requests
  • Update and maintain vendor database
  • Strong verbal and written  communication skills
  • Ability to work with management and department leaders
  • Detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and planning skills
  • Two-year accounting degree or equivalent experience required
  • Accounts Payable experience required, payroll experience desired
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel required

Patient Access Rep- Family Medicine Clinic

  • Full-time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
  • Benefits eligible
  • Monday-Friday, 8:30A-5:00P
  • Register and schedule appointments for patients
  • Answer telephones, direct caller to appropriate personnel, and take messages
  • Maintain office records and process forms
  • Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals
  • Basic bookkeeping and transactions
  • One year of experience in similar role preferred
  • Required: High school graduate or equivalent
  • Preferred: Familiar with EPIC and Microsoft products

Dietitian Nutritionist - Nutrition Services

  • Full-time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
  • 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
  • Will perform nutrition assessment, intervention, and monitoring for inpatient, outpatient and Long Term Care settings
  • Must possess ability to teach nutrition classes to variety of people including professionals, laypeople and children
  • Experience with Epic charting preferred
  • Required: Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition or related field
  • Required: Registration by the Commission for Dietetic Registration and State of Iowa Licensure; registration eligible may be considered

Systems Administrator - IT

  • Full-time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
  • Benefits eligible
  • Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., plus rotating on-call
  • Will perform high-level work on systems infrastructure such as servers, communication tools, storage, backup systems, VMware
  • Requires ability to interact with staff, physicians, visitors, consultants and vendors in a helpful and positive manner
  • Ability to handle multiple requests/needs simultaneously, ability to remain calm when experiencing critical system issues
  • Must exercise good judgement and discretion, especially when handling confidential information
  • Excellent customer service and project management skills required
  • Ability to plan, organize, implement and document complex systems and to configure systems to be consistent with medical center policies and procedures
  • Required: Associate's Degree or demonstrated relevant experience
  • Required: Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated expert level skills and knowledge in one or more of the following core system areas: Microsoft server operating systems, LAN/WAN infrastructure, virtual servers & storage management, software application systems, system security, or system interfaces

Bus Driver - Long Term Care

  • As needed position
  • Responsible for the safe transport of staff and residents in and around Jefferson and surrounding communities for various long term care outings
  • Requires a thorough knowledge of passenger safety and ability to maintain courtesy under stress
  • Practices defensive driving habits and exercises prudent judgement under a variety of constantly changing operating conditions
  • Required: High school diploma, must be at least 21 years of age
  • Required: Valid class "C" Commercial Driver's License with a passenger endorsement
  • Required: Good driving record, three moving violations or less in the most recent three-year period and must submit to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check  

Radiology Tech

  • Full-time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
  • 8-hour shifts, 2:30P-11:00P
  • Monday-Friday, plus call every 5th weekend & one holiday per year
  • Will provide inpatient, outpatient, and ER radiology services
  • Must be a team player
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Previous radiology tech experience required
  • BLS required
  • CT experience preferred or willingness to cross-train
  • Required: Graduate from an accredited rad tech program
  • Required: ARRT RT(R), Iowa permit to practice

Cook - Nutrition Services

  • Full-time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
  • Benefits eligible
  • 8-hour shifts, 5:30A-2:00P or 10:30A-7P
  • Rotating weekends and holidays
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience preparing main entrees, vegetables, salads and baked goods
  • Ability to meet meal schedules and properly utilize leftover foods
  • Knowledge of modified diets preferred
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • ServSafe certification preferred 

Environmental Services Worker

  • Full-time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
  • Benefits eligible
  • 2nd shift - 3:00P-11:30P, alternating weekends
  • 3rd shift - 11:00P-7:30A, alternating weekends
  • Job duties include but not limited to: sweep/extract carpets, burnish floors, extract furniture, collect medical waste/trash, operate equipment, clean overhead lighting and internal/external windows
  • Assist Facilities Management in snow/ice removal at entrances/exits, security of building, and other duties assigned
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team required
  • Attention to detail required 
  • Previous floor care experience preferred
  • Previous healthcare EVS experience preferred
