Medicare Billing Representative - Business Office

  • Full- time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
  • Benefits eligible
  • Monday-Friday 8:00A-4:30P
  • Good organization skills and attention to detail required
  • Must be able to multi task and work independently 
  • Previous medical billing experience desired
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Epic experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Financial Counselor - Business Office

  • Full- time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
  • Benefits eligible
  • Monday-Friday 8:00A-4:30P
  • Primary contact for patients needing help with Medicaid eligibility or financial assistance
  • Compassionate person with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Good listening skills
  • Good math skills with attention to detail
  • Previous experience in hospital billing or financial assistance programs preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred 

Patient Access Supervisor

  • Full-time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
  • Benefits eligible
  • Monday-Friday and as needed
  • Will oversee daily functions of Patient Access Team and Patient Transporters
  • Prepare and maintain budget
  • Provide backup for Patient Access staff and Patient Transporters as needed
  • Will complete monthly rounding and performance reviews with staff
  • Excellent  customer service skills required
  • Previous medical insurance or office experience
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • High level of professionalism and ability to work with other department leaders
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Food Service Worker - Nutrition Services

  • Part-time position (32 hours/2-week pay period)
    Weekday shifts 4:00-7:00P, weekend shifts 10:30A-7:00P
    Combination of weekday shifts and every other weekend
  • Duties will include washing dishes/equipment, food prep, and delivering trays
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Skills in prepping food product, labeling, cash register required
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred

Payroll & Benefits Specialist - Human Resources

  • Full-time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
    Benefits eligible
  • Will manage and coordinate employee compensation, payroll and benefits programs
  • Responsible for submitting and ensuring biweekly payroll cycles and processed accurately
  • Coordinate and administer all employee benefit programs 
  • Process leave of absences and coordinate with third party administrator in processing disability claims 
  • Work closely with accounting department to ensure proper reconciliation and payroll tax compliance
  • Assist employees with inquiries to ensure timely and accurate resolutions 
  • Requires a strong team player who can effortlessly manage a host of key details simultaneously 
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and quality-oriented mindset
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
  • Bachelor's Degree (or commensurate experience) required
  • Minimum of 1+ years of Benefits and/or Payroll and IPERS experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, ability to utilize and trouble shoot time and attendance and payroll software
  • Experience working with Kronos HRIS or other payroll HRIS system desired
  • PHR or Payroll Administrator certification desired

LPN/RN - Long Term Care

  • Full-time position (72 hours/2-week pay period)
    6P-6A, every 3rd weekend

  • Required: Valid State of Iowa LPN or RN license

Laundry Worker/Environmental Services Worker

  • Part-time position (56 hours/2-week pay period)
    Benefits eligible
  • 6- or 8- hour shifts, between the hours of 5:00A-3:30P
  • Monday-Friday, occasional weekend as needed
  • Will help cover staffing needs in both linen services and and environmental services
  • Linen job duties include but not limited to: operate washers and dryers; mix and add detergents, bleaches, and other solutions to clean articles; wash, process, and distribute long term care personals; examine and sort articles and fold, wrap, or hang them
  • EVS job duties include but not limited to: vacuum carpets, collect medical waste/trash, operate equipment, clean overhead lighting and internal/external windows, clean restrooms and other occupied/unoccupied spaces such as patient rooms and lobbies
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of team required
  • Attention to detail required
  • Previous healthcare EVS experience preferred

Patient Transporter

  • As needed position
    6-8 hour shifts, Monday-Friday between the hours of 6:30A and 5:00P
  • Will transport patients within the hospital, to and from test sites and nursing units as assigned
  • Will assist nursing staff with safe transferring and lifting of patients
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required
  • HIPAA and lift training required, will train
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required, will train
  • Required: HS diploma or equivalent  

Cook - Nutrition Services

  • Full-time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
  • Benefits eligible
  • 8-hour shifts, 5:30A-2:00P or 10:30A-7:00P
  • Rotating weekends and holidays
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience preparing main entrees, vegetables, salads and baked goods
  • Ability to meet meal schedules and properly utilize leftover foods
  • Knowledge of modified diets preferred
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting perferred
  • ServSafe certification preferred 

Bus Driver - Long Term Care

  • As needed position
  • Responsible for the safe transport of staff and residents in and around Jefferson and surrounding communities for various long term care outings
  • Requires a thorough knowledge of passenger safety and ability to maintain courtesy under stress
  • Practices defensive driving habits and exercises prudent judgement under a variety of constantly changing operating conditions
  • Required: High school diploma, must be at least 21 years of age
  • Required: Valid class "C" Commercial Driver's License with a passenger endorsement
  • Required: Good driving record, three moving violations or less in the most recent three-year period and must submit to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check  

Environmental Services Worker

  • Full-time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
  • Benefits eligible
  • 1st shift- 7:00A-3:30P, alternating weekends
  • Job duties include but not limited to: sweep/extract carpets, burnish floors, extract furniture, collect medical waste/trash, operate equipment, clean overhead lighting and internal/external windows
  • Assist Facilities Management in snow/ice removal at entrances/exits, security of building, and other duties assigned
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team required
  • Attention to detail required 
  • Previous floor care experience preferred
  • Previous healthcare EVS experience preferred

  • Varied hours as needed to provide coverage for vacations, weekends, etc.
