Handmade PPE Instructions & Pattern
Greene County Medical Center is seeking community members to sew handmade gowns to use as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
On April 9, 2020, the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) issued a PPE shortage order. The Medical Center is doing all that is necessary to preserve PPE they have. Any additional PPE that can be donated is of great value and will help protect our staff who have been directed to wear protective equipment.
Those who would like to make PPE gowns can download the instructions and pattern from the Medical Center website. Finished gowns can be dropped off at the Materials Management delivery door on the backside of the Medical Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. A drop-off location map is available on the Medical Center’s website. Donors will have the option of filling out a “Giving in Kind” form, which would make their donation tax-deductible.
