Greene County Board of Health

The Greene County Board of Health is appointed by the Greene County Supervisors.  Members serve three-year terms.

The Greene County Board of Health:

  •  Supports the local public health department by leading the effort to prevent disease and improve the physical, mental and environmental health in the community with population-based services
  • Evaluates effectiveness, accessibility and quality of offered services
  • Enforces laws and regulations that protect health and ensure safety
  • Informs, educates and empowers community members about health issues
  • Encourages community partnerships to identify and solve problems
  • Links people to needed personal health services and assures provision of health care when otherwise unavailable

The Board of Health meets regularly at 7:30 a.m. in the medical staff library on Level B at the medical center.  The schedule for 2020 is:
