Greene County Medical Center Launches Online Community Calendar

JEFFERSON, Iowa – In an effort to better serve area communities and keep residents informed, Greene County Medical Center has unveiled a new feature on its website, a comprehensive community calendar. This new addition aims to provide ease of access to information, ensuring everyone can stay up to date on vital healthcare services and happenings.

One of the key features is the detailed listing of when specialty providers will be at Greene County Medical Center, giving patients another way to find the information they need to schedule their healthcare visit. In addition, the calendar provides specifics about events such as blood drives, health screenings and fundraisers as well as planned clinic and office closures. Even Gift Garden holiday hours and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus can be found in the online calendar. 

“We wanted to create a space where people can easily find the information they need and can also learn more about how they can participate in events that support the medical center and our communities,” said Greene County Medical Center Foundation Director, Nancy Houska. “We are excited to provide this new resource as it is another reflection of our ongoing commitment to making healthcare more accessible and keeping our residents informed. It is all about fostering healthier, more engaged communities.”

The new calendar can be accessed directly from the website home page at gcmchealth.com by either clicking on Events in the blue navigation bar at the top of the screen or by scrolling down to the News section and clicking on the Calendar of Events tab. Visitors are able to select their choice of calendar or list views by toggling the appropriate icon and items can be sorted further by category as well.
