Foundation Golf Tournament

JEFFERSON, Iowa – Grab your clubs and rally your team. This isn’t just a round of golf; it is a chance to power the future of healthcare in rural Iowa. Join the Greene County Medical Center Foundation on Friday, June 12 for a day on the course that supports life-saving MRI services, strengthens traditions like the Bell Tower Festival and keeps high-quality care local.

“Held in conjunction with the Bell Tower Festival weekend activities, proceeds from the tournament are earmarked to fund essential equipment, services and programs while also contributing back to the celebration that brings a focus to the Jefferson community each year,” explained Foundation Director, Nancy Houska. “With the recent installation of a new, state-of-the-art MRI unit at Greene County Medical Center, we are thrilled to announce that this year’s tournament proceeds will be used to provide continued support of this integral piece of diagnostic equipment that benefits thousands of people across our region. This investment represents a major step forward in local care, providing patients with faster diagnosis and treatment, reducing the need for long-distance travel and strengthening healthcare outcomes across Greene County and our surrounding communities.”

Golfers can enjoy an 18-hole best ball format with a full day of activities, while businesses and individuals have multiple ways to get involved through sponsorships. Opportunities range from major hole-in-one sponsorships that include team entry and event visibility to hole sponsorships that allow organizations to showcase their support throughout the course.

At its core, the tournament reflects the mission of Greene County Medical Center: ensuring high-quality, compassionate care is available where people live, work and play. By combining community spirit, local partnerships and forward-looking healthcare investments, the June 12th event is more than a day on the course, it’s a drive toward a healthier future for all of us.

The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. A warm breakfast, snacks and lunch will be served and there are many opportunities throughout the day to compete for prizes.
