JEFFERSON, Iowa – Competition on the Jefferson Community Golf Course was matched by generosity as golfers, sponsors and volunteers came together for the Greene County Medical Center Foundation’s annual golf tournament Friday, June 12. The event raised funds that support healthcare services, programs and equipment needs, all for the benefit of Greene County and beyond.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support we received from our sponsors, players and volunteers,” said Foundation Director, Nancy Houska. “Their participation helps the foundation continue investing in rural healthcare with this year’s proceeds earmarked to help offset the expense of the new MRI suite at the medical center. This over $3 million project was completed in early 2026, bringing much-needed daily MRI services to our region. In addition, we will be presenting a check to the Bell Tower Festival committee, paying it forward for next year’s celebration.”
The day started with a tasty hot breakfast courtesy of the Auxiliary and prepared by the medical center’s Nutritional Services department. A delicious pork loin lunch was served by Hy-Vee at the conclusion of the tournament with Nutritional Services and Casey’s providing snacks throughout the day.
Friday’s tournament concluded with the announcement of the day’s winners. The Championship Flight title was captured again this year by the team representing Jefferson Family Dentistry, Fortress Insurance Services and Hupp Home Services. Wild Rose Casino claimed the 1st Flight while Landus earned the title in the 2nd Flight.
