Spread the Love: Valentines Wanted for Extended Care Residents

Valentine's Day

JEFFERSON, Iowa – This Valentine’s Day, why stop with just one or two Valentines? Greene County Medical Center invites area communities to share a little extra love with the patients in the Extended Care unit, and it’s as easy as signing a card.

The six patients who call Extended Care home would love to hear from you. Handmade cards or store-bought valentines, cheerful notes or even a child-created masterpiece are all welcome. Each message brings smiles, laughter and a reminder that our community members are thinking of them.

Simply drop off valentines at the Greene County Medical Center front desk or mail them to:

“There’s nothing like watching our patients open valentines and read messages from people they may not even know,” said Activity Director, Amber Reed. “They talk about them for weeks. It truly brightens their days, and ours too.”

Want to make an even bigger impact? If you have extra valentines, feel free to include a few for other hospital patients who could use a boost this Valentine’s Day. So, grab some glitter, pens and heart stickers or a simple card and help us turn kindness into smiles and let’s fill Extended Care with love, one valentine at a time.

If you have questions, contact Amber Reed at 515-386-0638.
