The Answers You Need Start with a Free Exam
by Greene County Medical Center - October 2, 2026
JEFFERSON, Iowa – October is National Physical Therapy Month, making it an ideal time to take a closer look at your health and mobility. This October, 21st Century Rehab at Greene County Medical Center is inviting area residents to take the first step toward addressing pain, improving movement and getting back to doing what they love with a free 30-minute exam during Free Exam Week, October 19-23.
The complimentary exam gives individuals an opportunity to meet with a rehabilitation specialist, discuss concerns and get answers, with no referral and no obligation.
Director, Deb Morton, said people don’t need to wait until pain or an injury is interfering with their daily lives before seeking help. “Sometimes we accept pain or limitations as something we simply have to live with, when there may be a solution,” she added. “Our goal during Free Exam Week is to give people an opportunity to ask questions, understand what may be contributing to their symptoms and learn what they can do to get back to the activities they enjoy.”
Morton said a free exam can be helpful for people experiencing joint or muscle pain, headaches, stiffness or other concerns affecting their movement and everyday activities. It is also a chance to better understand how to optimize your physical health. “Whether you are dealing with an ongoing problem or just aren’t moving the way you used to, you don’t have to figure it out on your own,” Morton said. “Our rehabilitation specialists are here to listen, answer questions and help you determine an appropriate path moving forward.”
